Large drones spotted in recent weeks across New Jersey have sparked a multi-agency investigation, including the FBI.
On Thursday evening, around 11PM, multiple drones were observed circling the Alexandria and Pittstown areas. This video recorded in Alexandria Township shows the drones moving in a circular motion coming from Pittstown heading towards Milford and flying over Alexandria Township towards Flemington in Hunterdon County.
While authorities assure there's no public safety threat, residents are concerned. Sightings have also been reported in Morris, Somerset, Warren, and Sussex counties.
The FBI is investigating reports of drones, some as large as airplanes, flying near the Raritan River. The cause and purpose remain unknown.
